As most music contests, the judges themselves are also music critics, who while project the image of knowing superior music, usually pander to some stylistic bias. Since your track has a more cinematic feel, it was probably ousted as being something purely Halloween. ...
That just means that your music transcends the limits of the contest, which is never bad. ... Look at its current NG reception!

Its Aight
The drum is offbeat, which is alright. The vocal sample used needs some tweaking (had to adjust speakers about to hear it). ... When the song picked up a bit was the best part.

For being a misc track, you surely have put together quite a piece.
Its actually kinda epic in a rock/ambient/trance kind of way.
Something that I could see play in a good movie or anime.

I like the concept, but it sounds like it was put together by someone who has only been using FLStudio for a few months.
It could've been a surefire 5 or 6 if there was some clever reverb or delay FX added. You should use more mixer FX.
I have been using it for only a few months and i don't know what what a mixer FX is.
